The Couple:

David and David met fifteen years ago this February at an anti-Valentine's Day party for singles, co-hosted by two college friends in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. One of the hosts was a co-worker of David Ruperti's at the time. The other host was a friend of David Clark Smith.

The image on this page captures the exact moment at that party when David and David first met.

DCS was smitten immediately. Ruperti was still on the fence... until their first date at Schiller's on the Lower East Side. After hours of great conversation, they were both pretty mesmerized and forgot that they weren't the only people in the room (apologies to the Schiller's staff who were trying to close up and go home).

Fifteen years later, these two nerdy architects are still pretty darn mesmerized with each other. And hopefully more cognizant of their surroundings than they were that first date.

And for the record, the Davids have become much more pro-Valentine's Day since then.

A Message from the Davids:

If you're reading this page, you are at least considering sharing our Special Day with us. We would be eternally honored. And we promise to remember that we are not the only people in the room on our Special Day. We would be nothing without our friends and family and we can't wait to celebrate with you all!
